Maureen Johnson, author and nerdfighter and ABBA lover, has decided that she will blog every day for the entirety of April. She has invited her adoring public (sekrit entourage?) to join in. So I have. So have many many other fantastic people. I really need to instill myself with some disciplinarian virtues, and I do believe this will work splendidly (It is not actually quite productive and is still a form of procrastination, BUT. Baby steps. Yes. Very small baby steps. Maybe by the time I'm 20 I'll even be able to refrain from tweeting my every waking thought. Maybe. Probably not).
So yes! A blog every day! Perhaps multiple blogs! Perchance some of these will be about books. Or cool things I have found (got a huge reservoir to draw from. google reader is fantastic for this). Maybe soliloquies. Maybe angry rants about Rachel Ray. We shall see, we shall see.
Going to be cross posting everything to my blog on Maureen's ning, because I am cool like that.

many things that i find interesting
1. this picture

Look at it! It's beautiful. Majestic, even. Other slabs of meat in nature here.
2. also this one

I love light painting, and this picture is so delicate and crisp and perfect.
3. Seven ways to fool your sense of touch
We're not as invincible as we think we are.
4. John Green on The Interview Show
Interesting talk. Not centered around Nerdfighters or geared towards them. And holy crap, John thinks about death way too much.
5. LOBSTER KNIFE FIGHT

That is all.

John Green does not keep his promises, also, it is eight in the morning.
First: Interesting fact about dental bone grafts: They often used sterilized bone from a cadaver. So there is some dead person's bone inside my jaw bone, which is probably an extremely resonant metaphor, although I'm not sure for what.
What I'm saying is that if I ever write a novel about the interconnectedness of all people, dead and living, I will be sure to include some dental surgery. Fortunately for everyone, the book I'm currently working on isn't about that at all (it's about whether or not the future exists, a question that was spurred by Sarah, who once told me "Imagining the future is a kind of nostalgia," which ended up going into "Alaska" word for word). So you will be spared my dental metaphors for at least a while.
- John Green, August 18, 2006
I am deeply, deeply disappointed.
Come on John! The strings, the dental bone graft, and the vessel. WHAT'S WRONG WITH THAT.

Ready and one and set and go.
Thanks for cheering me on.

NO
13. Do you like their musical style on "The Else"?
I like all their styles. Miles and miles of styles.
14. What are your thoughts on them doing children's music?
Good good good. I know a lot of people see Their adult and children's music as two different, distinct-ish things, but pshh. It's all the same to me. I likes it.
15. If they show up on TV, do you go out of your way to watch it?
OF COURSE.

No. But that would be very, very ftw.
18. Do you have any of the TMBG DVDs?
Direct from Brooklyn, Gigantic, Venue Songs, Here Come the ABCs, Here Come the 123s, that Blues Clues DVD in which they do Clap Your Hands. Are there any more?
