Hm.

I have the most geekiest dreams. Like two nights ago. About exit polling. How lame is that? I guess I watched too much of the Indecision 2004 stuff before bed. We went to the fair yesterday with my cousins and uncle and aunt. I saw TJ and Josh and Kristen and Tony and a bunch of juniors and sophomores. We went to the demolition derby which was much more interesting than I thought it would be. I'm not as scared by the thought of car crashes now because nobody in the derby got hurt, and I don't think I'll ever be in a bigger accident than anything that happened to them. I can't believe Alberto Gonzales resigned. Today. And the Daily Show and Colbert Report are on vacation. This sucks.

So school is starting this Tuesday.

And I have classes. *Bible. First period. This is gonna be really great. Mr. Wright said we can bring in breakfast stuff whenever we want. Plus, Mr. Wright's awesome. Plus, Bible is a really fun class. *Study hall. I think. The schedule they sent me is confusing. *English. Not as great. I don't enjoy Miss Reeves. I hope this is better than it was last year. *Physics. I wish Mr. Townsend was still here to teach me this. I'm gonna miss him. Ever year he had his students build rocket cars. And do all this neat stuff. Now, Mrs. Warkentien is teaching it. I thought the new math teacher would. *sigh* Mrs. Warkentien's teaching methods and me do not mesh well. But my mom said that she wanted to take the class down to the Answers in Genesis' Creation Museum in Kentucky. I doubt it'll happen. But it would be totally amazing if we did. Though I don't really think there's that much stuff there that would involve physics. Biology and chemistry? Yes. *Teacher's aide. For Mrs. Clark. To help with video class stuff, since I couldn't take it this year. Physics is in the way. *Lunch. *Movies as Literature. Meaning we watch movies then discuss them. Verbally and written-ly. *Photography. Yay! Mr. Wright again. He's so cool. *Drawing III. The III doesn't mean much. I've not drawn much lately. I think I might want to study graphic design in college. Maybe. I don't know. Or something science/doctor-y. Also, I'm doing the scorebooks for junior high volleyball. And JV. And varsity. I think.

The system is down. The system is down. The Cheat is GROUNDED.

I saw this band on Conan the other day, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah. I don't see how anyone would like them. The guy who sang was... whining; you could barely hear what he was saying; he barely opened his mouth. I mean, the music wasn't that bad, just kind of repetitive. I wonder if that's how they sound on their records or not. Ugh. They do. Their Myspace. Bleh. Seems a lot of people like them though. Have over 100,000 friends. Yuck. --- Late last night, I found some really really great interviews with Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert, serious interviews, actually them, not their characters. Not that Jon really has a character on TDS, but still. Interviews. They're amazingly long, and infinitely interesting. There's four or five with Jon, from 1999 to 2004, and one with Stephen, in 2006. These type of things enthrall me to no end; I could watch them and the interviewer, Charlie Rose, who is, in my opinion, awesome, great at his job, for hours. Whoah. All my interjections and commas make that sentence confusing. It's like how I felt watching Mike Rowe on QVC clips- that I could listen to him all day and be really happy. Only more so with these interviews. I watched the one with Stephen and two with Jon, stayed up until past 3am. I'll watch the rest of them today. Each is either 20 or 35 minutes long I think. It's.. reassuring?to me that they are, in fact, smart, smart people. I have tremendous respect for them now. Way more than before.

I forgot a subject line.

They're selling wristSTRONG bracelets now! And by they, I mean Comedy Central. But they're five dollars each. Plus 5.40 shipping and handling. Do I want to spend that much on a piece of rubber? Yes. Barely. Last night, at church, there was a concert. By someone who used to go to our church. But she got married and moved to Dayton and had four kids. Her husband works with children at the church they go to down there. Jennifer Deal. She's made a cd in her home studio, and this was her first concert. It was pretty cool. Her voice is amazing. I remember her from when I was younger. Her Myspace. That's all. I finished reading The Fortress of Solitude, Naked Pictures of Famous People, and America (The Book) yesterday. I got the audio book of America the Book from the library. I didn't even notice that Stephen Colbert was the headings/summary reader until two thirds of the way through the second chapter. His voice is so different. Much more calm and quiet and subdued, almost like he's trying to talk to you without waking anybody up. If that makes sense. Jon Stewart has a [EDIT: lover(l)y] voice. My typos are horrible.

Ryan started the fi-YAH!

I got my temps today. My parents absolutely made me. I read through the book I was supposed to study once. Had to get a 75% to pass. I only had to take 36 questions out of 40 befor I got above a 75. Missed six questions. It's scary that anyone just has to do that and they can drive. Because I'm pretty sure I'd wreck the car into a wall or something. I've never so much as sat in the driver's side of a vehicle before. Besides bumper cars and go carts. And I'm pretty sure those don't count. Yay! I bought season 2 of The Office from Buybacks for $25. Now I have to buy the third season when it comes out in a few weeks. My money's going away. Oh well.

I like croutons.

Free Cable May 15, 2007 - August 9, 2007 The cable company people killed it. This sucks. Just NBC, Fox, CBS, etc. And the boring news channels and home shopping types. We also still get the country music channel and G4 still. Not sure why. Hate country. But I love G4. Goodbye Man vs Wild and Dirty Jobs and Mythbusters and food cooking competition shows and Daily Show and Colbert Report and Spongebob. LION ATTACK!!!11 Lions vs. buffalo vs. crocodiles. Heck yes awesome. On page 130 of The Fortress of Solitude now. I want a wriststrong bracelet more than anything.

"Everyone knows I love to relax: braiding the hair of my new Project Runway Barbie, adding story after story to my Sims dreamhouse, and changing channels constantly between reruns of Law & Order: Criminal Intent and the Senate NSA hearings on C-SPAN." - lolz Flansburgh Darn Facebook has not been working right. Now, not at all. Site maintenance. Ick. My day today was completely and pathetically uneventful. I stayed up until four in the morning and then slept until noon. Then I ate banana nut bread. Or banana bread. Don't know. I read Jonathan Lethem's The Fortress of Solitude for two hours and only on page 68. Is that slow? It really feels like it. Then One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest was on tv so my sister and I watched that. The End.

Happy Doesn't Have to Have an Ending I had this weird dream that TMBG was playing a concert that was airing on Disney. Sam and Bob and a bunch of my friends from school/church were going to go to this Bible study and were all waiting outside in my driveway and in my neighbors'. I suppose I was sleeping in my dream because I woke up about two minutes before 8:00, which was when They were supposed to start and also when we were supposed to leave for the Bible study. I hurriedly rifled through our cabinet of kids VHS tapes, looking for one of them on which my grandma had taped cartoons on like fifteen years ago that I could use to record the show. Still in a sleep-induced stupor, I put the tape in the VCR and pressed rewind. I half fell back asleep on the couch for maybe five minutes and then woke back up to set the VCR to record. I realize that the tv and VCR had been unplugged because of the thunderstorm that had been going on earlier. (Early this morning, it was storming, and I'm pretty sure she did unplug them. I guess I was going in and out of being awake.) At some point during this stuff, I went outside and saw that Sam and other people I can't remember were dressed up really nice; he actually had a suit on. I was confused and worried that I was too dressed down, just had jeans and a t-shirt on. But half the people there were dressed like me, so I supposed I was fine. I set the VCR to record, it took me a really long time, something wasn't working right. It was probably 8:20 when I was done and ready, but everyone had left to go to the Bible study already. And they went in a black stretch Hummer. I kept checking tmbw, trying to figure out what songs They played; I was getting really frustrated and confused. There was video of Them at the Bowery from the early nineties, only They looked the exact same and had Dan, Danny, and Marty. I kept thinking that that was the Disney show and was wondering how tmbw had it if it was just now playing live. I watched the tape, looking for Them. I had estimated that Their portion of the show would be two hours long, but They only played three songs. I was even more confused and ticked off now. I felt really bad for taking too long and not going with everyone to the Bible study. There was also something in there somewhere about going to a taping of the Colbert Report, or meeting Stephen, or running around his studio; I can't remember. I woke up. Construction people have been working on repaving our street for the past few days. Last week, they stripped all the asphalt off to where it was bear stone/concrete/whatever. Yesterday, they put the first coat of asphalt back on. With really big trucks and machines. There was this awesome huge roller that one guy drove back and forth over the stuff after a truck ahead of it laid it down. I took pictures. It will be really great when it's finished; our road was so pot holey that when roller blading, it took all your concentration to not hit one. The next time I go to the store, I'm going to buy myself some Americone Dream ice cream.
